Scarlett O'Haras Music Pub in Prague

Old Town Squares performing live in Prague Located near the Charles Bridge, this is a place where you can enjoy a draft Guiness beer and listen to some live music several days per week. This place is a bit hard to find, since it is about 50 meters off the main street. Wenn you leave Charles Bridge in North-West direction (towards the castle), there will be a McDonalds on the left side after some 150 meters. Turn left and enter the driveway and you will come to a cinema theater. In a driveway on the right side of the cinema is the entrance to Scarlett O'Hara's Irish Music Club.

The interiour looks like it has already seen better times, but this may just add to the atmosphere. Choose from several draft beer, have a whiskey or a drink - but they don't offer food. And if they would, I would probably not eat there. One real drawback of this place is, that they apparently have no air conditioning. The cigarette smoke of the last 10 or 20 years is trapped here and the next morning your clothes will have quite an annoying smell. On the other hand, the restrooms are cleaner than you might expect.

Most of the people here are between 25 and 40 years old and when the music starts to play this is a real good place to be. On the evening of my visit there Jeremy and his "Old Town Squares - Blues and other fine Pub Songs", playing excellent blues. Jeremy told me, that they are playing there once a week. No cover charge.
